In order to host a guessing game featuring images, please follow this guide. Typically these games are composed of 15-20 different images but feel free to do more if you wish. To start, you need to come up with a theme for your game to revolve around. The theme can be pretty much anything you want, within reason. Here are a few themes as examples:
Countries (users guess what country the flag or geographical map location is)
Celebrities (users guess the name of the celebrity shown)
To host the game you’ll have to come up with a name for it, a short description and what time you want to host it. Please fill out the following command before giving it to a room staff member. /roomevents add Event Name|YYYY-MM-DD XX:XX|Event Description Time in 24 hour time, in UTC. We recommend you upload all your photos to vgy.me or imgur.com because other sites can give away the answer in the link. At least 24 hours before the game you must submit your game to a staff member to review and quality check. Here is what your game should look like, using a text storage site. Make sure that whatever service you use does not make the texts public, on Pastebin.com you can select unlisted as an option. Decide on what rules you want to use for your game, here are some examples.
You must give the FULL & complete name of the country, typos are not allowed.
You must give the full name, first name or last name. Your answer is allowed to be up to two characters off.
You must give the full name or a common name for the [flag/country/show etc]. “Agents of Shield” or “AoS”.
Please show up at least 5 minutes prior to the event time and inform a staff member that you are ready to host. Here’s how it usually goes. Host: Round 1! Host: .link https://vgy.me/00O1PW.jpg User1: met joe black User2: joe black User3: meet joe black Host: User3! [casual discussion for up to two minutes max] Host: Round 2! [Every 5 or 10 rounds you should announce the current leaderboard] Host: Scores so far! User3 5, User5 4, User 1
Co-Hosts If you ever feel in over your head, the Art & Culture staff are here for you and can co-host with you. There are many things a co-host can help you with, including but not limited to score-keeping, announcing winners, and more. You can also co-host with a friend if you wish. If you’re unable to host a game in a proper and orderly manner, you may be assigned a co-host the next time you want to host.
